Lidded bowl with flower shaped series
- A lidded bowl inspired by the shape and structure of the Joseon Dynasty’s wonban (one-person table with round tabletop). Items are coated in matte glaze (black/celadon green) to bring attention to the object’s exquisite outline.
Ottchil glass
- Glass dish made by applying ottchil to blown glass. Cozy translucent colors are reminiscent of traditional Korean wrapping cloths.
SUBOK Pot / Dish tower
- Ottchil tableware set. Surfaces were crafted using the traditional wood powder method to prevent slipping, while the insides have been polished, making each item both practical and visually attractive.
Forest Breeze - monochrome
- Monochrome fans made from traditional mulberry paper with linear slats. They are functional and visually pleasing, as they can be used as stand-alone decorations.
Mother Nature (Ottcill-coated wooden long cup & tumbler)
- Ottchil-coated wooden tumblers that expose the wood’s natural grain. Made by carving extensively-dried wood with the grain and then coating it in several layers of ottchil extracted in Wonju. Some items use the “steps” of the colored ottchil to depict the energy of crashing waves.
King Sejong 1446 spoon & chopstickcs
- Spoons and chopsticks made with bronze and stainless steel. Utensils designed in rhombus shape are four-sided to minimize discomfort when picking up food.
Korean True Scenery Tray /Korean True Scenery Soban (portable dining table)
- Trays and tables inspired by the subjects (e.g. mountains, sky, clouds, rocks) and colors of traditional landscape paintings. Woven pattern carved into hardwood offers a modern interpretation of the hojokban (one-person wooden table).
Black Flower
- Tea set and tray decorated with traditional magnolia design. Made by shaping clay on a pottery wheel, baking it for prolonged periods of time at high temperatures, and finishing with gold decorative techniques.
Black clay comb-pattern tea set
- A tea set whose items were each made on a traditional pottery wheel and bear a comb-pattern design. Items are unglazed, allowing the user to feel the clay’s natural texture. The inner base of each item is coated in silver to highlight the color of the tea.
